Featured Artist: 9-9:30 p.m.
Suggested donation of $5-10 to support the people bringing you these events and of course, the featured artist, Aerik Francis.
Aerik Francis is Queer Black & Latinx poet based in Denver, Colorado. He writes with the mantra "Live Your Puns" - meaning to be attentive to both words and life's own homophones and multiple meanings.
His work finds pleasure in the mundane and plays with words towards a deeper understanding of his own complex social identities.
Recently, he was the 2019 Amiri Baraka Scholar for SWP at Naropa University. He has work published and/or forthcoming in Borderlands: Texas Poetry Review, the Santa Clara Review, Spit Poet Zine, and TSPJ.
